Meet Bob

Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner | MSK Diagnostic and Interventional Sonographer | Clinical Lead

With more than two decades of advanced clinical experience, Bob brings extensive expertise, precision and a compassionate approach to diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions. His career spans several countries, healthcare systems and specialist roles, with a focus on clinical excellence, innovation and leadership in MSK care.

Qualifications and advanced training

Bob holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India and has completed postgraduate study in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy at Keele University, MSK rehabilitation at Oxford Brookes University and psychological counselling in Mumbai, India.

He is certified in MSK ultrasound imaging by the University of Essex, injection therapy by the University of Southampton and advanced imaging techniques. He also qualified as a non-medical prescriber through the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland.

NHS and specialist experience

Bob has contributed as an MSK sonographer within NHS organisations including Hampshire Hospitals, Broomfield Hospital in Essex, Peterborough Hospital and Warwickshire Hospital. He has worked alongside orthopaedic consultants, particularly in shoulder clinics at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

His ultrasound-guided procedure experience includes barbotage for calcific tendinopathy and hydrodistension. He also provides non-surgical management options for osteoarthritis, including synovial implant injections such as Arthrosamid where clinically appropriate.

After beginning his UK career with Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust, Bob held senior clinical roles with Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Circle Health Group and Healthshare Group, extending his practice in advanced physiotherapy, diagnostics and interventional treatment.

Bob currently works as an MSK sonographer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

Clinical leadership

Bob has held senior leadership positions including Associate Clinical Director and Orthopaedic Clinical Lead. These roles involved overseeing multi-site service delivery, implementing clinical-governance frameworks and mentoring extended-scope practitioners.
