01

What is Arthrosamid?

Arthrosamid is a non-biodegradable polyacrylamide hydrogel used as an injectable treatment for knee osteoarthritis. It integrates with the joint lining and is intended to provide a cushioning effect. It is different from corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections and is considered only after a clinical assessment.

02

Who may be assessed for treatment?

The clinic's existing treatment information describes Arthrosamid as an option for selected people with knee osteoarthritis, particularly when symptoms continue despite other care or when a non-surgical option is being considered.

  • A confirmed diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis
  • Ongoing knee pain or stiffness despite other treatment
  • A preference to discuss a non-surgical treatment option
  • Clinical and imaging findings that support treatment suitability
